The Chicago Red Stars, a founding member of the Women’s Professional Soccer League in 2013, have been competing fiercely ever since their formation in 2007. They were one of the first clubs to play in the inaugural 2008 WPSL season and continued to compete with success until the league folded for good in 2012.
